The Crystal Palace in London was designed by Joseph Paxton for the Great Exhibition of 1851. A design for converting the building into a 1,000 ft tall tower was suggested a year later, but never realised.
I have revived this vision with my model of the "Crystal Palace Tower". Since I have already made a model of the Crystal Palace in 2013, I was able to reuse most of the old parts. Compared to the original design, I have slightly reduced the overall height and increased the size of the facade elements.
